Our condition scale
All clubs are graded based on cosmetic condition and overall wear. Unless stated otherwise, every club remains fully functional and structurally sound.
To provide the most accurate description possible, we grade each club across three separate areas: head, shaft and grip. Each component is individually rated using the condition scale below, giving you a clearer and more detailed understanding of the club’s overall condition before you buy.
Brand New

For a golf club to be ‘brand new’ it must be unused and still in its original packaging or protective cellophane where applicable. The club must also include its original matching headcover provided by the manufacturer.
As New

The only real difference between as new and brand new is the packaging, an ‘as new’ golf club must have the appearance of a brand new but has been taken out of the wrapping. While the club may have been handled or even hit previously, there must be no visible signs of use. Any wear would be minimal to non-existent, with the club maintaining the appearance of having never been played.
Excellent

An excellent condition golf club will show light signs of use. Minor cosmetic wear or tee marks will be visible from normal play, but these will only be noticeable upon close inspection. These clubs are typically only used for a handful of rounds and will have been properly maintained by its previous owner.
Good

A club in good condition will show signs of regular use such as wear marks, tee marks and the odd small scratch, but still shows a club that has been well looked after and still has plenty of life left in it. Importantly, the club must have no sky marks on the topline or crown, so it still looks good behind the ball.
Fair

A club in fair condition may show heavier wear from repeated use. This can include grip wear such as thumb marks, bag wear on graphite shafts, and more noticeable cosmetic marks on the head including sky marks. Visible imperfections such as wear marks are harder to ignore here, often noticeable at address.
Poor
A club in poor condition will show significant wear from heavy use and may not have been well maintained. Oftentimes, paint on the club is coming off, alongside heavy wear marks on shafts and split grips that may need replacing.
What we don’t sell
We do not sell counterfeit clubs or equipment with structural damage that affects safety or playability. Every club we source gets carefully inspected and graded to ensure our customers receive genuine high quality second-hand golf clubs. Any notable defects outside of normal cosmetic wear will always be clearly shown and described within the product listing.
