Why Buy a New Driver?
Buying a brand new driver has some clear advantages. You get the very latest face and crown technology, the full manufacturer warranty, and a club that has never been hit - with fresh paint, untouched grooves, and zero cosmetic wear. For golfers who want to play this season's release exactly as the manufacturer intended, who want the longest warranty window, or who want a club that feels and looks immaculate out of the box, new is the obvious choice. New drivers are also a strong gift option, where the unboxing experience and full warranty add real value.
New also makes sense if you're going through a fitting and want to lock in a very particular head, loft, shaft, and lie spec that's not commonly available pre-owned. Custom-build programmes from the major manufacturers give you access to a wide range of stock and aftermarket shaft options, custom grip choices, and lie-angle adjustments that can be much harder to match exactly on the used market. If you have very specific spec requirements coming out of a fitting, ordering new is usually the simplest route.
That said, new isn't always the best route - and we'd always encourage you to compare both options before committing. The technology gap between this year's release and a model from two or three years ago is often smaller than the marketing suggests, and a clean used driver from a recent generation delivers the vast majority of new performance at a significantly lower price. We carry brand new drivers because some customers genuinely want them, but in a lot of cases our pre-owned driver range will offer materially better value for very similar on-course performance.
Our Range of New Drivers
Our new driver range covers current-generation models from the major brands - TaylorMade, Callaway, Titleist, Ping, Cobra, and Mizuno - in the most popular lofts, shafts, and head profiles. From TaylorMade you'll find the latest Qi35 family alongside selected Qi10 stock; from Callaway the Ai Smoke and recent Paradym variants; from Titleist the GT2, GT3, and GT4 in current spec; from Ping the G430 and G440 ranges across LST, SFT, Max, and HL variants; and from Cobra the latest Darkspeed and Aerojet families.
New drivers come with the very latest face and crown technology - carbon faces, AI-designed face architectures, refined Speed Chassis constructions, and class-leading MOI shaping - plus adjustable hosels and movable sole weights for personal fine-tuning. They also come with the full manufacturer warranty, original packaging, headcover, and adjustment wrench, and can typically be ordered in stock specs (off the shelf) or custom-built to your exact loft, shaft, and grip preferences. Custom orders take longer to arrive than off-the-shelf options - usually a few weeks rather than a few days - and we can talk you through the available options for any specific model.
If you can't see the exact new driver you're after on the site, get in touch. We can often source specific new drivers through our authorised channels even when they're not currently listed, including custom-build configurations. Equally, if you're not sure whether new or used is the right route for you, our team will happily talk you through both options based on your game and your budget - we'd rather help you spend your money well than push you toward a particular product.
New vs Used Drivers: Which Is Right for You?
The honest answer is that for most golfers, most of the time, a used driver delivers outstanding value for very similar on-course performance. Modern drivers are built to last, and a clean used driver from the past few years will play almost identically to a brand-new equivalent at a fraction of the price. Drivers are also the single biggest category where used equipment makes financial sense, given how quickly new drivers depreciate as the next generation replaces them. That's why the majority of our driver business is in pre-owned equipment - and why we'd always encourage you to compare both routes before committing.
There are situations where new genuinely makes more sense. If you want the very latest model and the absolute longest warranty window, if you need a very specific custom build that's hard to find pre-owned, if you want the unboxing experience for a gift, or if you're spending big on a hero driver you'll keep in the bag for years and want maximum confidence in condition, new tends to be the better fit. New drivers also typically come with current-season face technology, which can be a meaningful upgrade if you're coming from a much older driver.
For most other scenarios - upgrading from a recent driver, switching brands, trying a different head profile, or just chasing better value - our used driver range will usually give you more performance per pound. A common approach for our customers is to mix the two: buy a new driver if it really matters to them, and buy pre-owned everywhere else in the bag. If you're not sure which route makes sense for your situation, get in touch and our team will happily talk you through both new and used options based on your game and your budget.
